HKMA survey finds 32% firms piloting quantum tech for security, portfolios

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s (HKMA) survey conducted in early 2026 has revealed that 68% of authorised institutions (AIs) have at least a basic awareness of quantum computing, while 32% have started exploring technology in post-quantum cryptography and portfolio optimisation.
