The Futures Industry Association (FIA) has urged the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to take a cautious approach to 24/7 trading in energy futures, warning that continuous trading without corresponding clearing, payment and collateral infrastructure could leave clearing firms carrying under-collateralised exposures.
