DTCC sees T+1 clearing benefits after US shift frees nearly $3bn

The US transition to T+1 settlement released nearly $3 billion (£2.24 billion) in clearing-fund liquidity, offering an indication of the potential capital efficiencies European clearing houses could achieve when the UK and EU shorten their settlement cycles next year, according to the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).
