The tech firm said its cloud-based managed service now enables clients to analyse full-depth order book data for all major futures asset classes
BMLL, the data and analytics fintech, has extended its service to include full-depth order book data for all major futures asset classes.
The London-based tech firm said in a statement on Wednesday its cloud-based managed service now enables clients to analyse full-depth order book data for all major futures asset classes from the CME, Eurex and ICE venues in a single harmonised format.
The BMLL Level 3 Futures Data product enables clients such as brokers, asset managers, hedge funds, futures commission merchants (FCMs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to cut their time-to-market by spending less time on managing data.
Paul Humphrey, the chief executive of BMLL Technologies and the former head of FICC at Euronext, said: “Packaging our futures product is a natural evolution to our core equities offering. As major trends such as the Libor transition and the explosion in retail trading in the futures environment take centre stage, the ability to analyse these complex and diverse data sets is vital.”
BMLL said it is offering Level 3 futures data for equity index futures, government bond futures, short-term interest rate futures, commodity futures, digital asset futures and currency futures.
The fintech said futures datasets are typically huge and complex so gaining meaningful insight from beyond the top of the order book requires significant computational workloads.
Dr Elliot Banks, chief product officer at BMLL Technologies, added: “The sheer size of the futures market requires a scalable, cloud-based platform that can provide the insight and analytics needed for the ever increasing data demands of market participants. Our customers, regardless of size, can leverage the BMLL Data Lab to run analyses on specific futures packages.”
BMLL uses machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to enable firms to embrace this immense data set, offering the ability to do complex, Level 3 Data analysis at scale across venues and markets.
This analysis includes the ability to conduct simulations such as model calibrations, testing of latency curves and market impact.
