Robinson, who worked in markets and fintech recruitment at Sheffield Haworth, joined PeopleSolved this week
South African recruitment firm PeopleSolved has hired former Sheffield Haworth director David Robinson as its European managing director and charged him with building a team across the region.
Robinson, who was a Sheffield Haworth director specialising in Markets and FinTech recruitment for five years, joined PeopleSolved as its London-based European managing director on January 6.
Robinson said he has been charged by the Cape Town-based firm with building a team in Europe and a presence in various European financial centres.
The new PeopleSolved European MD has established himself in recent years as one of the top headhunters in London, having worked on various high-profile appointments including last year’s recruitment of Bruce Savage as the new European head of trade body FIA.
Savage was formerly the global head of regulatory affairs and market structure for listed derivatives and clearing at Deutsche Bank until he left the firm after 21 years in the middle of 2019.
Robinson also worked on the appointment of Elena Patimova by the Singapore Exchange to work on European sales in September last year.
Former managing director and head of markets at Sheffield Haworth Jon Regan left that firm in October 2018 to become a partner at 6Vision, a staffing and recruiting specialist.
The London job market has been busy in recent years as some investment banks, such as Deutsche, have cut-back or withdrawn entirely from the derivatives market.
Brexit has also forced firms to re-allocate some functions to Europe which has added to the demands for search specialists like Robinson.
