London-based fund beat competition from a shortlist of four other funds
London-based fund Devet Capital has beaten off the competitionto win a coveted Dutch award for best investment strategy chosen by over 250industry experts.
Devet Capital was selected by the vast delegation ofinvestment managers, investors, hedge funds and high-net worth individuals asthe winner of the AIF Factor 2016 award, which allows a range of funds to pitchtheir investment strategies.
The competition was part of ABN Amro Clearing’s FifthAmsterdam Investor Forum held on Wednesday in Amsterdam.
Irene Perdomo, principal & founding partner of DevetCapital Investments, said: “We are so pleased that our market neutral commodityinvestment strategy convinced this professional audience.”
She added: “They really liked our track record of consistentpositive risk adjusted returns, with controlled drawdowns, with a strict riskmanagement approach. This is achieved through an efficient combination ofmachines for trade selection and human intervention for the risk management.”
Devet saw off competition from a shortlist including: theSerone Key Opportunities Fund of Serone Capital Management; the Mint TowerArbitrage Fund from Mint Tower Capital Management; Abrax Merger Arbitrage ofPuzzle Capital; and Done Hedge Fund by Done Fund Management.

ABN said the AIF Factor competition is open to all active orprospective funds of any size, location, investment target or style.
The award is a boost for the London-based fund founded byformer Barclays traders Perdomo and Leo Marroni.
