Exclusive survey by FOW identifies tech challenges and trends in back office
Collateral management is the biggest technology challenge facing the back office today, according to an FOW study into post trade technology trends and requirements.
Ahead of FOW’s inaugural FOW Post Trade event on the afternoon of May 11 in London, FOW surveyed delegates on their technology requirements and challenges.
47.8% of respondents cited collateral management as the biggest technology challenge, with 34.8% choosing reporting and around 9% pointing to trade confirmation and post-trade reconciliation.
Full details of the survey will be revealed and discussed on Monday, but other highlights included:
- - Over 30% of respondents will spend more or significantly more on outsourcing over the next 12 months
- - Over 50% of respondents said they had engaged with a new technology supplier over the past 12 months
- - 47% of respondents said that greater accuracy of trade information was what clients most commonly requested
FOW Post Trade is an afternoon event that focuses on the business and technology of derivatives post trade today.
