The ZISHI Group, the training firm, is organising a charity walk in London to raise much-needed funds for a hospice.
The ZISHI Group plans on September 5 a 15 mile walk along the River Thames in London to raise funds for the excellent work of the Willen Hospice which provides free palliative care to adults in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
Chris Jenkins, the chief executive of The ZISHI Group, said: “Located close to one of our offices and having supported members of our team, we are proud to raise money and awareness of this incredible organisation’s mission to provide essential palliative care services.”
The Willen Hospice, which celebrates this year 50 years since its foundation, currently offers free palliative care to over 1,000 patients, of which 300 are cared for at the hospice and 700 are supported at home.
Only 15% of the hospice’s running costs are met by ongoing NHS funding so the facility is largely reliant on contributions from activities like the ZISHI fund-raising walk.
