The Intercontinental Exchange team overcame Trading Technologies in the final of this year's David Setters Trophy which raised over £33,000 for Motor Neurone Disease research
Intercontinental Exchange won on Friday the David Setters Trophy for the second time in a fun-packed day that raised over £33,000 for Motor Neurone Disease research.
ICE kept their cool in a tense final that saw the US exchange group’s team overcome Trading Technologies, who had earlier beaten reigning champions the London Metal Exchange in a semi-final marred by terrible umpiring.
ICE previously won the tournament in 2021, meaning ICE and the LME have now won the tournament twice.
Also contesting the David Setters Trophy this year were StoneX Group, Euronext and KRM22 while Verne Global and Ethypharm deserve a special mention for their continued support as does Dan Carter of KRM22 for organising the tournament, which this year took place at the picturesque Blackheath Cricket Club.
Most importantly, the day raised over £33,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, taking the total generated by the annual cricket tournament to over £150,000 in just six years.
