Rocktoberfest-London follows event in Chicago and New York featuring performers from the financial services

Child prosthetic limb and mobility care charity ALTSO is to launch its hedge fund and financial services charity rock festival Rocktoberfest in London in June.

The New York-based organisation, which provides free prosthetic limbs and mobility care to children suffering from untreated congenital or traumatic limb disabilities in the developing world, has run the festival in New York for 15 years, also launching a Chicago show in 2011.

The festival features bands and performers drawn from the finance industry.

"My band - High Octane Alpha - played on the main stage at ALTSO's Rocktoberfest events in New York and Chicago last year and we are thrilled to be joining the inaugural Rocktoberfest-London line-up this year," said Alper Ince, Managing Director and Partner of PAAMCO.

"It's not only a fun evening for people in the industry to attend - it holds significant value as a leading philanthropic event and the impact it has is unmatched."

The event will be held on June 6 at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London from 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at the website.

ALTSO provides free life-changing prosthetic limbs and corrective surgery to children suffering from traumatic or congenital limb disabilities in the developing world - at an average cost of only $250 per child.

The average ALTSO family earns about $3 a day, and lives approximately 1 to 3 miles away from the closest school meaning that mobility challenges often prevent them from attending education.

ALTSO was founded in 2002 and has worked with more than 16,700 children to date - and is on a mission to treat 1,000 more in 2019.
