Charity calls for support following massive donations to children’s charities in Nepal.
Industry charity Futures for Kids has called for support forits Food for a Day campaign following a substantial donation to the twocharities it supports that operate in Nepal.
The death toll from Saturday’s earthquake in Nepal could hit10,000 according to the Nepalese government as search and rescue teams continue to reachareas cut off by the devastation.
FFK trustee Patrick Thornton-Smith said that he had madecontact with the two charities supported by the organisation in Nepal and the situation there was “terrible”.
FFK’s Food for a Day campaign is asking people in the marketto donate £10.59, which it says is equivalent to what a City worker spends onlunch each day.
