Anderson stepped down as head of the Dubai boerse last month
DGCX has paid tribute to its former chief executive GaryAnderson who passed away last week.
The Dubai exchange said in a short statement that Andersonpassed away on November 13 after battling cancer for the last few months. Hestepped down as chief executive of the exchange last month.
“In the two years that he served as CEO of DGCX, his vision,passion and leadership made a huge difference to the development of theExchange's business and all of the team,” the exchange said.
“His death is a big loss not only to DGCX, but also to thewider industry. He will be fondly remembered for the great contribution he madeto the exchange with his gentle yet strong leadership style.
“The thoughts and prayers of the management and employees ofDGCX go out to Gary's family.”
