Director of product development at AXA Rosenberg appointed
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Francisco Arcilla as director of product development for AXA Rosenberg. He is tasked with broadening the existing systematic equity offering to drive future AXA IM growth.
Francisco Arcilla’s role is effective November 1 and he will report to Jeremy Baskin, CEO AXA Rosenberg.
“Arcilla will play a critical role in ensuring AXA Rosenberg plays a strategic role in driving AXA IM’s future growth. He will be responsible for defining and cultivating the re-launch of AXA Rosenberg’s long/short capabilities and exploring other opportunities to broaden AXA Rosenberg’s offering,” said Jeremy Baskin, CEO AXA Rosenberg, AXA IM.
Arcilla will be replaced by Eric Lhomond who will head the fund of hedge funds and impact and thematic investing teams, on top of developing a new alternative credit offering dedicated to third-party clients.
“Lhomond is perfectly placed to successfully drive growth of these teams as well as lead the launch of a new alternative credit initiative. The intention is to create a packaged solution dedicated to third party clients, to give exposure to credit hedge funds via dynamic allocation together with downside risk reduction and in-depth reporting," said Julien Fourtou, global head of multi-asset client solutions at AXA IM.
Lhomond joins on November 1 from AXA UK where he is currently the cheif investment officer. He will report to Julien Fourtou, global head of MACS.
He has been with AXA Group since 1999 during which time he has occupied a number of key positions including head of the hedging program management activity of AXA Equitable in the US.
In addition, AXA IM has appointed Daniel Leon as head of client solutions development to strengthen AXA IM’s capacity to answer the needs of sophisticated clients with tailor-made solutions.
Leon will work closely with both the client group and all manufacturing expertise to ensure AXA IM’s capabilities are best combined and leveraged to meet client demands.
Leon started on 1 October 2014, also reporting to Fourtou.
