St. Petersburg exchange launched on Tuesday its Urals crude futures contract
The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange
launched on Tuesday Russia's first domestic crude oil contract,
backed by Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The Russian commodities market said in a statement it
launched on Tuesday a physically-settled Spimex Urals Crude
Spimex had said it was planning to start trading the crude
contract in the second half of this year but had not set a
specific date for launch.
