Committees chaired by senior experts from national competent authorities
The European Securities and Markets
Authority (Esma) has appointed new chairs to three of its
fourteen standing committees as it gears up for the
implementation of its Mifid II reforms.
Cyril Roux, deputy governor of the Central
Bank of Ireland will chair the Investment Management Standing
Committee. Roux replaces former chair Gareth Murphy, also from
the Central Bank of Ireland. Before joining the central bank,
Roux was deputy secretary general of the French regulator on
banks and insurance. Prior to that, he spent a decade at AXA
bank in various positions.
