Interest rate swaps remain most actively traded instruments, according to the BIS triennial survey
Trading in US dollar denominated contracts
rose to $1.4 trillion in the three years to April 2016, more
than double the level of the same period to 2013 according to
the latest triennial survey from the Bank of International
Euro-denominated contracts declined by
almost half from $1.1 trillion in the three years to April 2013
the to $638 billion up to April 2016.
