US exchange is set to go into competition with CME and ICE
Nasdaq OMX has unveiled a major new
initiative that will see the US exchange launch a suite of
energy contracts and go into direct competition with the
IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) and CME Group.
As reported by FOW on Monday, Nasdaq has confirmed that
it will establish a new energy futures market, Nasdaq Futures
Officially announced at the
40th annual FIA meeting in Boca Raton, Florida,
Wednesday, Nasdaq said NFX will offer competitive pricing, a
clearing solution and high-performance technology for futures
and options based on key energy benchmarks including oil,
natural gas and US power.
