Former Goldman Sachs trader has filed for CFTC approval to launch market
Institutional trading and clearing bitcoin platform, LedgerX,
has selected surveillance firm Ancoa to provide the real-time market and trade
surveillance platform for monitoring bitcoin options trading on the new venue.
LedgerX, a US-based firm run by former Goldman Sachs trader
Paul Chou, is currently awaiting regulatory approval from the US Commodity
Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to operate the first US regulated exchange
and clearing house for trading bitcoin options.
"We believe our comprehensive approach to bitcoin market
surveillance will help protect our participants, garner trust from
institutional traders and help to grow the bitcoin market," Chou told FOW.
