Intercontinental Exchange won the Dave Setters Trophy for the third time earlier this month, helping take the total raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association over £200,000.
The ICE team beat last year’s winners StoneX off the last ball of the match, making the US group the first team to have won the trophy three times in its eighth playing since the tournament began in 2017.
As well as ICE and StoneX, the London Metal Exchange, Trading Technologies and KRM22 put up teams with TT narrowly beating LME to third spot at the Blackheath Cricket Club in south-east London.
Honourable mentions also go to Referment, Kynetix, Computappoint and Broadridge who pitched in by sponsoring kit, drinks and lunch, and making the day hugely enjoyable for players and spectators alike.
The latest meeting of the popular tournament raised over £27,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, taking the total raised by the tournament for MND research past the £200,000 mark for the first time.
The trophy is named after David Setters, the popular derivatives expert who has in recent years dedicated himself to raising money to fund research into MND after discovering he has the disease.
Dave has been tireless in raising awareness about MND and in supporting efforts that lead to a cure and better care for people living with MND. He established City Against MND and works closely with the MND Association. Dave is also a Founding Trustee of Futures for Kids, the industry's charity.
Dave’s entire career has been spent in the City where he has been a long time champion of the futures and options markets.
