Orc will connect to Newedge’s data centre in Hong Kong, giving its US customers Asian market access without establishing their own lines, connections or memberships.

Marty Leamy, president, Americas at Orc Software, said: “Asian markets have become important to Americas-based traders to increase their trading margins and take advantage of the new opportunities afforded in these growing markets,” he said.

Mike Gilbert, global head of the professional trading group at Newedge in Hong Kong, described the partnership as a “win-win”.
