Announcing a 26% rise in its 2010 net income, to a record of $398m, Intercontinental Exchange group revealed that its revenue from futures had almost caught up with that from OTC derivatives, and will overtake it in 2011 if the present trend continues.

The group expects its headcount of 933 employees to rise by between 6% and 10% this year, excluding any effects of mergers or acquisitions. That suggests the firm will hire 55 to 90 people.
