BAML joins Nasdaq Dubai as first general clearer

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has joined Nasdaq Dubai’s equity derivatives market as its first general clearing member.

Nasdaq Dubai hopes BAML’s arrival will stimulate liquidity in its fledgling market, which offers futures on 21 Middle Eastern firms, including state-backed port operator DP World.

It also has futures on companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market and the Abu Dhabi Securities Market, as well as FTSE Nasdaq Dubai UAE 20 Index Futures
