StanChart takes Brookhouse and Haigh

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Simon Brookhouse as global head of equities and Michael Haigh as head of global commodities research.

Based in Hong Kong, Brookhouse reports to Lenny Feder, group head of financial markets.

Brookhouse will lead all aspects of Standard Chartered’s equities initiatives. Most recently, he was based in London as chief executive of Execution Noble Group. He also held positions at HSBC, as global head of equities, and with Merrill Lynch as head of equities (Europe) and global head of equity-linked derivatives.

Michael Haigh will be based in the bank’s Singapore office and report to Alex Barrett, head of client research. Before this appointment, Haigh was managing director at K2 Advisors, a fund-of-funds manager based in Stamford, Connecticut.
