Martens named SEC’s chief litigation counsel

Matthew Martens has become chief litigation counsel in the SEC’s division of enforcement.

He will oversee the litigation programme conducted by attorneys in the Washington headquarters trial unit and will coordinate the activities of trial attorneys across the enforcement programme in the 11 regional offices.

Martens has been an assistant US attorney in the Western District of North Carolina since 2003.
