Bartzos becomes ELX supervisory chairman

Catherine Bartzos, a managing director at JP Morgan, has become chairman of the supervisory board of ELX Futures, the new US interest rate futures exchange owned by banks and trading firms.

She replaces Tom Rubio, managing partner of Chicago-based trading firm Breakwater, who held the post from January 2008.
Bartzos has been a member of ELX’s board and operating committee since January 2008.
The exchange has made three other appointments to its operating committee: Patrick Tray of Getco, Ryan Sheftel of Credit Suisse and Richard Feldman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
