Farmer rises at Dow Jones Indexes

Jamie Farmer has become executive director of Dow Jones Indexes, a new position. He had been senior director, global index operations and head of exchange relationships.

The job aims to harmonise Dow Jones Indexes’ global business development and ensure coordination of opportunities resulting from CME Group’s recent acquisition of 90% of the company.

Farmer will be responsible for global sales and business development, while retaining his existing operational and client activities.
He joined the company in 2006, after being senior associate of strategic relationships at Susquehanna International Group. He began his career as vice-president of marketing at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange in 1991.
