GFI gets new US equity head

US interdealer broker GFI has hired Robert Roberto as North American head of equities. Roberto joins from Knight Trading, where was managing director and head of institutional sales trading.

Before that he was head of international sales
trading at Salomon Smith Barney. The firm has also recruited Anthony Belluzzi,
Meghan Re and Marian Gitlin, reporting to Roberto.
The team will target institutional investor
clients in the US and abroad.
