Shagoury becomes CIO at LSE

Antoine Shagoury has been appointed chief information officer at the London Stock Exchange — a new position, reporting to Xavier Rolet, the chief executive.

He joins from
the American Stock Exchange, part of NYSE Euronext, where he had been CIO since
2004.
Shagoury will be responsible for technology throughout the
exchange group’s markets. He will work with Tony Weeresinghe, chief executive
of MillenniumIT, and other providers of technology services.
Shagoury worked for Instinet between 1993 and 2003.
