Friedman takes over as new Nasdaq CFO

16 September 2009

Adena Friedman has taken over the job of chief financial officer at Nasdaq OMX, replacing David Warren, who announced his intention to resign early this year. Friedman will combine her duties as CFO with her previous work as vice- president, head of corporate strategy and global data products.

Before that Friedman, who joined Nasdaq in 1993, oversaw a business unit focused on global dissemination of market information and analytical tools for securities traded through Nasdaq and OMX exchanges.

Bob Greifeld, chief executive officer of Nasdaq OMX, said: “As head of corporate strategy, Friedman was a key player in significant mergers such as OMX and INET, and I look forward to her contributions as chief financial officer.”
