US regulator CFTC approved on Monday five European key exchanges as Foreign Boards of Trade
US futures regulator the Commodity Futures
Trading Commission said late on Monday it has recognised Eurex,
CME Europe, ICE Futures Europe, the London Metal Exchange and
the London Stock Exchange Derivatives Market as Foreign Boards
of Trade (FBOT) under the US Dodd-Frank Act.
The European exchanges were able to offer
their services to US traders previously but under a no-action
exemption whereas their new recognition as FBOTs
