ICE considering all options, including an appeal, after competition watchdog ruling
The Competition and Markets Authority
(CMA) has ordered the Intercontinental Exchange to sell energy
platform Trayport, which it acquired in November last year.
"Having looked at this in detail and
sought views from a range of market participants, we believe
that the only effective way to preserve competition is to
require ICE to sell Trayport," Simon Polito, inquiry chair at
the CMA said in a statement.
