ICE saw Long Gilt open interest surpass 600,000 lots for the first time on Friday
US giant the Intercontinental Exchange has
hit a record of open interest on its London-based Long Gilt
contract despite growing competition for ICE Futures
Europe’s flagship products.
ICE Futures Europe, formerly Liffe, saw
its Long Gilt open interest hit 602,831 lots on Friday October
7, breaching the 600,000 lot level in a single day for the
first time and surpassing the previous record of 573,831 lots
on July 26 this year.
