US exchange's first Asian exchange launched in November with three clearing brokers
The Intercontinental Exchange has signed
JP Morgan as a clearing member for its Singapore-based clearing
house, marking the latest positive step for the US exchange
group's first Asian market.
"JP Morgan is pleased to expand our
existing relationship with ICE as it continues to strengthen
its presence in Asia. Our appointment as a clearing member for
ICE Clear Singapore is also a clear statement of our commitment
to this market, which maintains its position as a globally
important financial centre," said David Martin, managing
director of JP Morgan Securities Singapore.
