Accenture said it has introduced a prototype for editable blockchain
Three blockchain projects are showing real
signs of progress, suggesting this much-hyped technology is
showing some tangible benefits.
Consulting firm Accenture said on Tuesday
it has created the prototype of an editable blockchain, a bid
to tackle the issue that distributed ledger or blockchain
technology, as it was originally conceived, has the
immutability of the ledger as one of its chief
"As we focus on new uses for blockchain
technology beyond the realm of cryptocurrency, absolute
immutability will become both a virtue and a vice," said
Richard Lumb, group chief executive of financial
services at Accenture.
