London-based clearer was the last major European provider without approval
ICE Clear Europe, the Intercontinental
Exchange’s European clearing house, has been
authorised as a central counterparty under Emir, making the
division of the US exchange the last major clearer to be
approved under the new European rules.
The Intercontinental Exchange said in a
statement on Monday the Bank of England has authorised ICE
Clear Europe as a central counterparty (CCP) under European
regulation the European Market Infrastructure Regulation
