LMEprecious is to launch in the first half of 2017 with gold and silver contracts
The London Metal Exchange and the World
Gold Council have said that they will launch a suite of
exchange-traded and centrally-cleared precious metals next
year, supported by a raft of major investment banks including
Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
The World Gold Council and the London
Metal Exchange (LME), together with Goldman Sachs, ICBC
Standard Bank, Morgan Stanley, Natixis, OSTC and Societe
Generale, are to introduce a suite of exchange-traded and
centrally-cleared precious metals products on LMEprecious in
the first-half of 2017.
