Nasdaq-owned energy exchange this week passed its first anniversary of launch
Nasdaq Futures, the energy market, plans
to launch a raft of new contracts next week, marking the
ambitious exchange's first anniversary since launch.
The new chief executive officer of
Nasdaq’s energy exchange, Rick Beaman, told FOW
NFX will next week launch 15 new contracts, including its first
fuel oil and crack futures contracts as well as additional
"Leading up to the anniversary we have
been on-boarding at a good pace. The new fuel oil and crack
contracts [have] also helped to spark a growth spurt in this
area. We are also seeing interest from new types of clients, so
as we widen the product suite, we are widening the number and
scope of participants," said the CEO.
