Regional exchanges have reported strong results in the wake of the EU referendum
The Australian Securities and Warsaw exchanges are the
latest derivative hubs to report double digit growth for June,
underlining a busy month for the world's top markets.
In June 2016, average daily ASX futures
and options on futures volumes rose 17% to 16.6 million
contracts, up from 14.2 million in the same month last year.
The rise in trading was mostly due to futures trading, which
was up 17% on the exchange compared to June 2015, to 16.4
million contracts. The smaller options on futures segment rose
54% to 181,305 contracts.
