Explosive growth in commodity classes is concentrated in Asian markets
In spite of repeated worries over the
market slowing down since last year, trading volumes in
agricultural, energy and metals contracts have reached new
highs in the last three months, according to Euromoney
In May 2016, global agricultural futures
and options contracts saw their best month since before the
financial crisis, with the asset class reaching an
all-time-high of 179,244,575 contracts.
