The charity hopes to bring the total raised by the event to £300,000
Industry charity Futures for
Kids’ annual Walk to Work event has so far raised
more than £22,000, as donations continue to flood in.
The stamina challenge on Friday saw nearly
80 participants from the futures and options industry don their
trainers for the 35-mile circuit of London, before heading into
the City for a party at the finish line.
The JustGiving for the Walk to Work page
shows that donations have topped the £22,000 mark, though
Dave Setters - FOW founder and long-time managing director and
publisher, event organiser and consultant at Contango Markets -
told FOW Monday that up to 35% of funds raised come in after
the event, with the charity hoping that the total amount raised
from the walk will be in the region of £30,000.
