US options trading volume stalled after the middle of April as volatility dwindled
US listed options had in April their
slowest month since November 2015, according to the Tabb
Group’s Options LiquidityMatrix.
According to the research group, a strong
rally in US stocks stalled in April, which led to the lowest
monthly volume in US listed options since November 2015. Volume
last month totaled 331.8 million contracts, 1.3% higher than
