Main Russian exchange reported 24.1% increase in trading volumes last month
The Moscow Exchange and Warsaw Stock
Exchange are the latest exchanges to report significant growth
in trading volumes for April.
The Russian exchange said on Thursday
total trading volume rose last month 24.1% to RUB 68.6 trln
The strongest growth came from the
derivatives and money markets segment, with volumes increasing
67.2% and 40.3% respectively compared to the same period last
year. Within the derivatives market, which accounted for 179.7
million contracts, futures represent the largest part, at 173.5
