Commodities segments are up while equity derivatives had a slow month in April
Euronext and the
Australian Securities Exchange announced their trade volumes on
Wednesday, highlighting a strong month for commodities as
equity derivatives lagged behind.
Paris-based Euronext said on Wednesday activity on
exchange-traded funds (ETFs) dropped 14% in April, with an
average daily transaction value of €548 million
(£434 m). Trading of index derivatives at Euronext also
slowed last month, with an average daily volume of 211,268
contracts, down 16.1% compared to the same period last year,
