Different interpretations of the portfolio margining rules could impede competition
Europe's top clearing houses have proposed
changes to the European regulation to enable firms to benefit
from a new cost-cutting clearing service.
A trade body representing the main
European clearing firms issued on Wednesday a paper which
outlined some suggestions to improve the regulation for
portfolio margining, a new service firms claim can dramatically
cut the cost of clearing.
