Standards is to take a step towards its long-awaited probe into the impact of
its controversial leverage ratio reforms, according to the world’s top future
Walt Lukken, the president and
chief executive of the FIA, said the leverage ratio was the biggest challenge
facing his members and welcomed a plan by the Basel Committee to launch a
consultation with the banks the leverage ratio could hurt.
