Icap revenue for three months to end of 2015 down 5% due to broking units
Icap chief executive Michael Spencer said
on Tuesday the British broker hopes to complete its landmark
broking merger with rival Tullett Prebon in the middle of this
Announcing the firm's quarterly
performance, Icap group chief executive Spencer said: "The deal
with Tullett is proceeding according to expectations. This a
big transaction in our space, that will leave three global
inter-dealer brokers. We are understandably going through the
competition checks in the US and Europe and we are confident we
will get the transaction through this year and possibly as
early as this summer."
