Trade body FIA in January merged regional operations into a single organisation
The European head of the Futures Industry
Association (FIA) has been elected chair of a group comprising 16 financial trade bodies charged with ensuring regulatory consistency across the numerous associations.
Simon Puleston Jones has been elected chairman of Joint Trade Association Group (JTAG) for 18 months, succeeding former chairman – and his predecessor
at FIA - Anthony Belchambers, on Monday.
The JTAG is a forum made up
of chief executives, regional and policy heads from the 16 trade bodies. The group discussed regulatory issues and meets with senior regulators,
politicians, legislators and market participants.
