The central bank is set to take over control of the Sonia benchmark this year
The Bank of England has called on Friday
January 22 the next meeting of its working group to find an
alternative to the Libor benchmark as the group forges ahead
with its plan to choose between one of two proposed rates.
The Bank of England Sterling Risk-Free
Rate (RFR) Working Group will hold next Friday its first
meeting of the year and try to move ahead with its plan to
choose in 2016 between an unsecured or a secured overnight
index rate to replace Libor.
