Exchange giants ICE, CME and CBOE had mixed results in a volatile year of trading
US exchange giants the Intercontinental
Exchange (ICE), CME Group and CBOE Holdings reported mixed
results for 2015 as demand for interest rates products was met
by weaker equity activity.
Atlanta-based exchange operator ICE
reported on Wednesday fourth quarter daily volume of 4.4
million contracts, up 8% on the fourth quarter of 2014, led by
a strong performance in its financial segment.
Financials climbed 18% in the fourth
quarter to over 2 million contracts per day, led by a 30% jump
in interest rate trading, which averaged 1.6 million contracts
