ICE bought energy trading specialist for $650m from BGC Partners last Friday
The Intercontinental Exchange has told the
staff of Trayport their long-standing chief executive Elliott
Piggott has left the energy trading firm a week after the
exchange acquired Trayport for $650m.
ICE told Trayport staff that Piggott had
left in an emailed circular on Friday afternoon.
The exchange said in the message to
Trayport staff: "I am writing to let you know that, following
the recent acquisition of Trayport by the Intercontinental
Exchange, Elliott has decided to step down as chief executive
officer of Trayport in order to pursue other opportunities.
